The mining boom in Western Australia has given many opportunities in stainless steel fabrication, and Western Stainless Solutions have moved quickly to provide the service needed.
Directors Paul Bartlett and Aldo Giannasi, with 30 years experience between them, specialise in the quality manufacture and installation of finishes for commercial space, and pride themselves on delivering quality results on time.
They were recruited to design, manufacture and install quality stainless steel fixtures to the new Hans Cafés on the picturesque Mandurah foreshore. The design had to harmonise with the existing chain of Hans Cafés, as well as fulfil all design expectations within a tight budget and time restrictions.
The result looks stunning. The canopy ducts and fans, benchtops and bars, granite and cabinetwork don’t just look good, they are a practical and easy to maintain solution for a busy restaurant.
Stainless steel finishes inside the building are juxtaposed with the two-storey concrete and brick building that offers sweeping 180 degree views of the waterfront. The Hans Café made extensive use of grade 304.
More recently Western Stainless Solutions, always in search of a competitive edge, have been using the new generation ferritic grade of stainless steel, AWM 404GP®, supplied by ASSDA Major Sponsor Austral Wright Metals.
Paul Bartlett was keen to see what advantages AWM 404GP® offered. He liked how easy it was to form, giving neater bends with clean lines and a better-finished product. The better heat transfer during welding also gives less distortion, keeping sheets flat and straight.
Building commercial kitchens is a challenging and competitive industry. There are many manufacturers, so it’s hard to stand out from the crowd, and Western Stainless Solutions jumped at the improved product quality offered by AWM 404GP®.
AWM 404GP® is now the grade of choice used in their workshop and they are very happy with it.
